China Harbour Engineering Company (the Company) is seeking to fill the position of Administrative Assistant in its Guyana Office.  The incumbent will report to the Country Manager and will be responsible for Research and Document Management for the Office.


  • Do research in support of the Business Development team
  • Prepare statistical reports and handle requests for information
  • Draft various correspondence
  • Maintain document ledger


  • A Bachelors’ Degree in Business Administration or Office Procedures
  • At least three (3)  years working experience in a similar capacity, in the construction industry
  • Excellent Computer Skills with Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite in particular MS Word
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent people, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Possess strong ethical standards and is highly confidential
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
